"They came together in a word ... The steps

Mario Ernesto Martínez, netom, Neto and Mario Matta for his friends and enemies is a prolific and versatile artist in the broadest sense, both literal and prosaic words, but this warrior dalineano brush is a waste of self-education. Artistic circles, art schools and academies have been ghosts recommended to him for more than a hypocrite patrons insensitive to their children monetary shortcomings in the neighborhood of his native San Rafael Santa Ana

Neto is one of those guys who has engrescado from its origins to the alchemists of marketing and depletion of hopes and dreams in a country like ours, full of these specimens vermiform of contention.

He has ridden, like a true Warrior of Light, for various forms of art: Drawing From the plains, passing through the valleys of the cartoon, arriving on the mountain of music and walking the hills of poetry and has crossed pilgrimage along the roads, sidewalks and trails painting, but more than that, he galloped bravely in deserts, successes and failures of life, the life that inspires you actually made, and as the poet: "The inspiration reality creates what inspires him."

This genre of art, painting is the accomplice who can juggle these bold words or ideas, and netom is that there is an "overdose" of reality. His artistic work inevitably goes along with it, that he does not live in a bubble but in the same social circumstances than other people of his time, his land, his people and his group of friends with whom he shares great part of their beliefs, feelings, aspirations, gods and demons. For the link with the surrounding environment, their art work is essentially a cognitive activity and aesthetic enjoyment of human beings. The fact Art being a reflection of social life, and therefore a path of knowledge, it also becomes a carrier of ideology, as raised by the Marxist. Matta's work reflects the reality through the prism of class interests thus has a significant dose of an ideological function.

His paintings, wisely, expressed at its base two bastions as an influence: Surrealism and the Mexican School. In the first case, is synonymous with dreams and fantasies, giving psychic automatism fulfillment of the subconscious and the imagination. Netom endorses some surrealist techniques, but always ready to give the exact idea of ??the Salvadoran social macrocosm. His paintings are imbued with a "critical paranoia": A well-known method of master Salvador Dali, that universal monster brush. In the second Latin American painting movement that had such global impact in the twentieth century, like no other. Many critics call that school as a pamphlet, some consider it as an art that expresses the reality of Latin America. The murals take their impetuosity. Three geniuses are there: Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros.

For these vicissitudes of everyday life we ??agree, we find a day were the early days of the emerging postwar within campuses. On the campus of the UES, in Santa Ana you can see the mural work of the artist of silence. The murals dedicated to Roque Dalton, Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero, workers of art and culture, the role of the university, the student revolutionaries ... bear witness to the artistic quality of Netom. Private production of the collection is called "Dreams, strokes and Pictures" and dedicated to working girls, "Allegory your body" dedicated to the Muses or woman, a personal library devoted to his young daughter, among others exhibited no .

In the corridors, paths and entrances breathes a halo of art and culture, which have been strengthened by the selfless contribution of self-taught artist, hero of silence.

For many years, was a guest solo from the University of El Salvador, Santa Ana, where he was active in cultural and political events, concerts, art exhibits and other herbs. He was seen as a soloist, with duos, as part of his rock band "Overdose", a group recognized locally and regionally.

The Music is another of those demons that lie in its being, the New trova and rock in Spanish sounded in unison to trouble the souls and shoot well, an occasional shot of conscience or the occasional poisoned dart against alienodependencia.

It is difficult to write about someone without it incurred to dismiss the political conception of the world. Impossible. Neto, participates in many conferences to denounce the system. On one occasion, in a Bufo Parade, the first since the military dictatorship took to the streets in the province to satirize the excesses of the system and ridicule than any government official. Ernest Mario built a huge wooden cross, this act made him think that a child dreamed of being a prophet, being an artist is a prophet, was dressed as Jesus of Nazareth with his cross of imperialism and rushed through the streets announcing the doctrine which terrestrial hermit. Near him was a prostitute masquerading as environment minister. Has always believed in the Utopia from these different ways of doing things from other trenches, from other methods.

Peering between books and documents, I find the magazine Student Opinion, "the official voice of age-Use (General Association of Salvadoran University Students) July / August 1999. It transcribe an interview that defines exactly my conception witted ideological-political art by this artist santaneco.

Student-Opinion: What motivates you to be an artist in this era.

-Netom: The urgency, the need to make every dream in my life path, turning

almost a small transmitter in my artistic and cultural contribution of my

generation and therefore the future.

-OE: What it means for you the new century.

-Netom: Uncertainty, new struggles, poverty, vindication of principles

make us social beings with consciousness.

-OE: What do you identify with the university community.

-Netom: My eternal struggle is to feel identified with those organizations

social or people who do not lose hope and strive to rescue the

utopia.

-OE: What message would you leave to young people.

-Netom: Do not lose your dreams, because I can not digest human beings without them.

-OE: What to expect from the university.

-Netom: The only thing, the urgency, importance, the projection, the rescue of art

all its forms within the University to fulfill its role and

return to society.

Mario Matta artist, life wrestler passes the imaginary line that splits to express the palpitations and the trepidation of a world that we can do, if and only if, through cognitive reconstruction and those who advocate tirelessly axiological human as a banner of any battle for life.

Netom the individual aspires to utopia. Certainly gives his final steps in terms of providing more and more, their humble efforts in the historical evolution in the artistic and cultural evolution of the dark city, as some folklorists romantic localism quake-national vernacular.

Mario Ernesto Martínez citizen is a good taxpayer, pay VAT and the rent on time, but that does not look overwhelmed by the vagaries of the Treasury and its insatiable collectors. Join unwittingly rictus of customer locations throughout indecent wages earned.

Net friend is humanist by definition and with great human quality that overwhelms the interest-free sources through, only his ideals of human beings with whom they have equal or unequal strengths. Like all living things, of course, is not perfect and the imperfections will be one or other of which deal.
